Hi there! I am mindfulness coach Diane Yeo from beautiful London,Ontario, Canada.
I’m so glad you’ve found me and are interested in learning a bit more about who I am and my approach to mindfulness (and life!).
Planting the Seeds
I remember, at the age of 17, tagging along with my Mom and brother to a talk on meditation. I was intrigued by meditation but also really intimidated by it. It seemed too difficult and a little boring.
Yet that intrigue stuck with me…there was a part of me that was drawn to meditation and really wanted to give it a try.
A few years later, I read Louise Hay’s book, “You Can Heal Your Life”, and for the first time came to understand just how powerful our thoughts are and our ability to change them. This was really liberating.
In 1994 I started to practice meditation and that’s when things in my life began to shift.
How I Got Here
I spent a big chunk of my life really wanting to be happy and to feel a sense of peace.
Not some over-the-top, blissed out version, I just wanted my busy mind to take a break and the void I felt inside to be filled. I wanted to enjoy my life in the now rather than always focusing on the past or the future.
I became passionate about personal growth and wanted to live a life that reflected that. And so, in 2006, after 15 years in a Sales and Marketing career, I decided it was time for a change. A big change. I left my job, packed up my bags and went to an intensive meditation teacher training in British Columbia.
I became ‘a modern day monk’. Immersing myself in the lifestyle, I lived at the centre with other meditation teachers, absorbing the teachings and learning about myself and about life.
I knew I wanted to share this knowledge with others and decided that developing my own program was the best way to do this.
It was important to me that what I developed would be easily accessible and relatable. I didn’t want people to think they had to go to great lengths to bring mindfulness into their lives. As I continued to learn and grow, so too did my program.
My “Why”
I have taught thousands of people from all different walks of life and what I have learned is – We all want the same things out of life: peace, happiness, love, and a sense of belonging and fulfillment.
But too often we end up searching outside ourselves to find these things. With work, relationships, the acceptance of others…whatever we think can help to “fix” us.
But guess what? None of it works for the long-term.
After a near death experience in October 2019, it became clearer to me than ever, that everything you need to experience peace and have a fulfilling life is within you, and all we have is this moment.
When everything outside of you is chaos, it is still possible for you to feel peace inside. For some, that might seem like a HUGE stretch. It felt that way for me too. But listen, mindfulness is not a one-size-fits-all program or lifestyle. Instead, you find ways that it best fits you, your personality and your day-to-day life.
That’s where I come in.

I believe strongly in the power of mindfulness and am passionate about teaching people all over the world how to experience this for themselves.
I have taken everything that I have learned along the way and developed SimplyPresent™, a mindfulness program for people with busy minds and a busy life.
