About
Hi, I’m Diane Yeo
I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’re looking for a way to quiet your mind, ground your body and find true peace, you’re in the right place.
Planting the seeds
My journey with mindfulness began at 17 years old when I tagged along with my mom and brother on a meditation talk.
I was curious, but at that age, spending time with friends seemed far more appealing than sitting in stillness. Yet, something about it stayed with me—a seed was planted.
Years later, I took my first formal meditation course—a ten-day silent retreat on Vancouver Island.
It was intense for someone like me, who was never still and always needed noise in the background. Meditating for up to twelve hours a day challenged me in ways I never expected.
But it also cracked something open: a passion for self-discovery.
How I got here
I longed for peace for much of my life, but it always felt just out of reach—something others seemed to have, but not me.
I struggled with anxiety, my moods were high and low, and I had issues with addiction.
Later, I learned that my experiences were deeply connected to childhood trauma—an awareness that finally helped me make sense of it all, go inward and heal on a deeper level.
After 15 years in sales and marketing, I knew it was time for a big change. I left my job, packed my bags, and travelled to British Columbia for a six-month in-residence meditation teacher training.
When my training was completed, I fully immersed myself in a new way of life. Living at the center alongside other meditation teachers, I deepened my practice while traveling to teach meditation courses.
After two years, I knew I was ready to carve my own path, and I developed my own SimplyPresent™ mindfulness program rooted in my personal experiences and everything I had learned along the way.
My approach is practical and relatable, and it has been ever-evolving for all these years—because mindfulness isn’t a rigid practice but a way of being in the now.
Why I do this work
I’ve worked with thousands of people from all walks of life and seen one universal truth: we all want the same things—peace, belonging, and fulfillment.
Yet, we often search for peace outside ourselves—through work, relationships, status, or the approval of others. But true peace isn’t something to be found—it’s already within us, an essential part of our true essence.
In October 2019, a life-threatening experience made this truth clearer than ever. Life is happening now. Even when the world around us feels chaotic, we can still find stillness within.
