Are you going through change or facing uncertainty with your health, finances, relationships, or a challenging situation?
You’re not alone.
We are living in an interesting time where we are individually and collectively going through a massive transformation, and you may find yourself amid a spiritual shift.
The unknowns and uncertainty, the loss and destruction, and the chaos and inequity of all this change can sometimes leave us feeling ungrounded, scared, or helpless.
There are many things out of our control.
Suppose we rely on everything in our lives and the world to be exactly as we want it to be. In that case, we are putting ourselves in a very precarious and unempowered situation time and time again.
It can feel like things are falling apart or nothing makes sense.
If we are not anchored in our body, in the now, in our being, and are consumed with thoughts and thinking, we will get swept away. We will feel powerless.
We often wake up, and our mind is racing with a checklist before we even get out of bed. We are caught up in our heads, and we abandon the body. The ego is in the driver’s seat; we are in the back seat, and it takes us for a ride the entire day.
For me, the freedom lies in turning our GPS inward and having a greater capacity to be present with what arises moment-to-moment, which starts at the beginning of the day.
Wake. Take a moment to breathe. Greet your day with awareness.
When the world is in turmoil and things are shifting in our lives, staying grounded and doing our daily practices that support our well-being is of the utmost importance.
“Life is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to be lived. When you stop trying to fix yourself, you realize there is nothing broken in the first place. Joy is not found in avoiding pain, but in embracing and transforming it. The true power lies not in control, but in surrender.”
~ Jeff Foster
When we create this space, we can listen to the wisdom within, trust the Universe is guiding us, and trust in ourselves.
We can choose to:
Be here now
Commit to our daily practice
Slow down + take a breath
Practice kindness to ourselves + others
Treat our body like a temple
Treat Mother Earth with love and respect
We will have times of joy and happiness. We will also have times of sadness or disappointment. It’s all a part of living life, and this is when we do our best to breathe and offer compassion to the suffering part of us.
I don’t only meditate when I’m stressed.
I meditate every day because it supports me to:
Be present and feel grounded
Release stress in my mind and body
Be the observer of thoughts, feelings and life
Be connected to my true essence
Find peace amidst the storm
And much more
It’s like tuning in to a higher frequency. We remain present to experience all that comes our way – planned or not.
We are incredibly resilient beings who have all of the wisdom within us. And if you find solace in a Higher Power, God, Goddess, the Universe, Source, Angels or something else, these are all supports as well.
For a lot of my life, I struggled. My mind was racing, and my body was stressed. I was ungrounded and reactive. But I wouldn’t stop. I didn’t know how to stop. Gratefully, there came a point when I was willing to stop and go inward, and that’s when things started to change for me.
It doesn’t mean life is filled with rainbows and unicorns 24/7. Life continues to happen, but our awareness and connectedness to self differ; we understand that our true strength and power come from within.
We have everything we need within us to feel safe and at peace. We have the availability to choose.
With love,
Diane
